Overview

The Recruiter will implement our recruiting strategies. The Recruiter’s goal is to ensure that our Alaska based processing facilities are fully staffed with qualified seasonal production labor for our seasonal operations by providing full life-cycle recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Implements high volume seasonal recruiting strategies;
  • Regularly reports on their performance to Recruiting Manager and their assigned processing facility;
  • Maintains and evaluates metrics for assigned processing facility, including but not limited to;
    • New hire status
    • Offer acceptance ratio
    • Rate of preseason communications with former employees
    • Rate of face-to-face interaction with employees during season
    • No show ratio of new hires
    • Attrition rate
  • Plans and schedules hiring events;
    • College job fairs
    • Veteran job fairs
    • SBS hiring events
    • Partners with State Employment Security Departments in agricultural areas to reach farm laborers
    • Participate in overseas H2B Job Fairs
  • Manages applicant flow through iCIMS;
  • Recommends enhancements to improve recruiting process and reduce costs;
  • Responsible for overseeing H2B travel arrangements for assigned processing facility:
  • Responsible for on-boarding prior to production workers reporting to their processing facility;
  • Partners with Payroll to ensure new hire info in recruitment software interfaces with ADP;
  • Other duties as assigned;

Qualifications

  • At least one year of work experience as a Recruiter in a high-volume recruiting environment is preferable;
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and HR databases;
  • Working knowledge of employment laws;
  • Experience with phone and in-person interviews; candidate screening and evaluations;
  • Familiarity with social media and other networking sites;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong decision-making skills;

Acts with customers in mind, and values the importance of providing high-quality customer service. Read, speak, write and understand English for effective communication. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The job is based in Seattle, WA corporate office and includes frequent travelling, including trips to our Alaska based processing facilities.
