Silver Bay Seafoods (SBS) is currently looking for experienced Technical Support to work in one of our Alaska based seafood processing facilities. The Technical Support position is responsible for plant tech support in coordination with corporate IT Staff. The employee will work directly with the facilities staff and senior level administrators to resolve problems and provide support.
Airfare from Seattle to the plant is provided as well as your return ticket. Also provided is housing and food while on location. The season typically lasts roughly 3-4 months during the summer.
The Account Receivable Specialist collaborates closely with Logistics, Inventory Control, and the Sales team and 3rd party freight forwarders to ensure that all product shipments as well as any product claims are billed and tracked. The position requires frequent interaction with customers and as such we require the strictest level of professionalism. This position uses current accounting technology to record payments to customer accounts, and maintains accounts receivable records as well as performing ad hoc reports and continual reconciliation.
Provide support to Plant HR Manager in all functional areas of human resources including employment, employee records, employee relations, performance evaluations, employee development, training and special projects.
The incumbent will maintain, repair and install Iron Butcher processing machinery and other fish processing equipment such as food grade conveyors (plastic and stainless), processing pumps (meat and water), grinders, and a variety of salmon, herring and crab processing equipment. The incumbent sets an example for the department staff in work ethic, safety adherence, and attitude.
Silver Bay Seafoods is currently looking for an experienced Production Lead to work at one of our processing facilities in Alaska. This position is seasonal and be expect to work 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. Room and board are provided as well as travel to and from the facility from Seattle.
Operates and maintains a variety of fleet equipment such as gas, diesel and propane powered rolling stock including trucks, forklifts, cranes, and passenger vehicles.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for communicating to all employees of the facility the standards and policies required by Silver Bay Seafoods and their customers, as well as state and federal regulations. Where the standards and policies are not adequately communicated, product may have quality defects or critical food safety defects.
Assist Quality Manager in ensuring that proper documentation, inventory records, including Fleet QC issues and overall Quality is held to the Silver Bay Standards
Provides support to the production department by assisting the Production Manager with production operations and relieving him at night or other odd hours.
The Bunkhouse Manager monitors Silver Bay property and premises to ensure security of products and processing materials, and to maintain order at the SBS bunkhouse. The bunkhouse manager will play a large role in making everyone’s stay there pleasant and safe.
Silver Bay Seafoods is currently looking for an experienced Refrigeration Operator to work at one of our facilities in Alaska. The incumbent will operate and maintain a large single stage Ammonia system in accordance with SOP’s and PSM program and all mandated safety guidelines. Incumbent will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on both low temp and RSW systems and multiple systems of NH3.
The incumbent will assess plant wide maintenance needs and recommend changes, plan and schedule preventative maintenance as well as manage and instruct department heads and employees in multiple departments in maintenance procedures and techniques. This position entails managing personnel in maintaining multiple systems of NH3 (anhydrous ammonia), R22(HCFC), R404A(HFC), R507(HFC), R134A(HFC) and other refrigerants as encountered in our facility and on fishing vessels.

Silver Bay Seafoods is accepting applications for our 2018 herring and salmon seasons. This job requires working constantly with hands, some heavy lifting, and standing for long periods of time. Employee must work quickly in order to meet production deadlines and shall have the ability to understand and follow instructions and safety rules. The work environment can be very wet, and cold.
