The incumbent will help maintain, repair and install RYCO processing machinery and other fish processing equipment.
The Bunk House Manager monitors Silver Bay property and premises to ensure security of products and processing materials, and to maintain order at the SBS bunkhouse. The bunkhouse manager will play a large role in making everyone’s stay there pleasant and safe.
The incumbent oversees the planning, coordinating and control of the manufacturing processes. They will ensure the final product is produced cost efficient and services are produced effectively. Continuance of the standard set by Silver Bay pertaining to Quality and Safety are an essential part of the Production Managers responsibilities. The Production Manager is accountable for both human and material resources. The incumbent sets an example for the department staff in work ethic, safety adherence, and attitude.
Silver Bay Seafoods is looking for an HR Manager for our new facility in False Pass, AK.
The incumbent will perform human resources related duties in the following functional areas: employee relations and compliance while supporting the facility and Plant Manager to ensure adequate HR support is provided. Will work at the Alaska based processing facility during the processing season. During the off season, the Plant HR Manager may work remotely as long as correspondences at kept up on. Occasional need to report to the Seattle office during the off season will be required as well.
Silver Bay Seafoods is looking for someone to run the front desk at our busy processing plant in False Pass, AK.
Greet visitors, direct traffic and answer a multi-lined phone will be your main duties, but there will be other administrative duties as assigned.

Silver Bay Seafoods is looking for a skilled Administrative Assistant to work in our fast paced office in our new False Pass, AK plant. The main responsibility of the Administrative Assistant is to assist others in the office to ensure that the office runs smoothly.
The Dock Boss provides an integral service to fishing vessels as they come to off-load at the Silver Bay Seafoods dock. They coordinate with Fleet, Plant and Production Managers, as well as fishing vessels to organize and schedule efficient offloads. The Dock Boss typically runs a crew of 2-8 Dock Leads with a Dock Supervisor as an assistant.
Silver Bay Seafoods is looking for an Electrician for our Sitka, AK facility.
The incumbent performs highly-skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems. Electrical work may be performed in a number of areas in the facility including heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarms, electrical panels, electrical control room, and fish processing equipment. Work involves technical application of electrical principles. Responsible for electrical maintenance of plant power issues, distribution, cords, plugs, motors, compressors, etc.
Silver Bay Seafoods is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to work in one of our processing facilities in AK. The Quality Control Manager is responsible for communicating to all employees of the facility the standards and policies required by Silver Bay Seafoods and their customers, as well as state and federal regulations. Where the standards and policies are not adequately communicated, product may have quality defects or critical food safety defects.
Silver Bay Seafoods is currently looking for a Fleet Accountant for our Naknek, AK facility. The Fleet Accountant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintain fisherman accounts, including receivable and payables, issue Purchase orders as needed, reconcile fisherman credit cards.
- Prepare all payments to fishermen, including advances and settlements.
- Supervise fish ticket entry personnel, audit all weight records, fish tickets, and tender tallies.
- Have knowledge of Catch Manager II fish ticket, fisherman accounting and general GL system.
- Ensure all copies of fish tickets are submitted as required to appropriate Alaska Department of Fish and Game office.
- Have knowledge of ELandings system.
- Maintain fisherman fish ticket and expense files at the plant.
- Generate requested reports from the fish ticket system.
- Applicant must have good organizational skills, be accurate and timely in all processes.
- Must be flexible and adjust quickly to changes while working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
- Work closely with other Fleet personnel, plant personnel and fishermen to ensure accuracy of accounting and fish tickets.
This is a seasonal position. You will be required to work at one of our processing facilities in Alaska. This is an entry level position.
Silver Bay Seafoods (SBS) is currently looking for experienced Technical Support to work in one of our Alaska based seafood processing facilities. The Technical Support position is responsible for plant tech support in coordination with corporate IT Staff. The employee will work directly with the facilities staff and senior level administrators to resolve problems and provide support.
Airfare from Seattle to the plant is provided as well as your return ticket. Also provided is housing and food while on location. The season typically lasts roughly 3-4 months during the summer.
This position is for all returning key staff for the 2019 season.

The Kitchen Chef will plan, direct, participate and supervise food service activities at the galley. This includes preparation and delivery of four daily meals for all employees. Meals are served buffet style. The Kitchen Chef will plan and develop recipes taking into account and food budget requirements while maintaining overall food quality & consistency.
The plant operates 24 hours/day 7 days a week during the processing season. This position requires being actively involved in food preparation while directing the activities of a prep cook and kitchen helpers. The Chef will oversee overall kitchen organization, sanitation and safety. The Kitchen Chef sets an example for the department staff in work ethic, safety protocol, and attitude.
Silver Bay Seafoods is accepting applications for our 2019 herring and salmon seasons. This job requires working constantly with hands, some heavy lifting, and standing for long periods of time. Employee must work quickly in order to meet production deadlines and shall have the ability to understand and follow instructions and safety rules. The work environment can be very wet, and cold.
The General Counsel of Silver Bay Seafoods, L.L.C. oversees all aspects of the organization’s legal affairs, safety and environmental compliance programs, human resources department and risk management activities, and serves as an integral member of the organization’s senior management team. The Assistant Production Manager is responsible overseeing all aspects of production reporting directly to the Production Manager. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and forecasting for production, training and coaching of key staff on company standards, effective communication with operation departments to ensure that location is on target for production goals. The incumbent helps to ensure the crew follows GMP and safety policies and ensures the smooth efficient operation of each department and setting an example for the processing staff in work ethic, safety protocol, and attitude.
